A little History!
In March of the year 2001, the Lord Jesus Christ put on the heart and mind of Tom and his wife Nikole to start a congregation in the Buckeye Lake/Millersport, Ohio area.
Tom and Nikole and kids, along with Alan Duncan and his family ( son, Chris; daughter, Elizabeth) as Music Minister, and Todd Smith as our Youth / Young Adult Minister.
We had only 2 months to get ready for our first service, and with no money saved, no work (seen) to go to, no place to live or building to hold services in, Tom resigned from his ministry position in Racine, Ohio to obey, in faith, the Lord, Christ Jesus. May 31st, 2001 was Tom's last day on staff in Racine and June 3, 2001 was our first service at The Gathering, a storefront in Millersport, Ohio.
We rented the storefront in Millersport for about 1-1/2 years, then the Lord directed us to a piece of property in Fairfield Beach, located in Thornville, Ohio.
There we renovated a barn located on the property where we are currently holding services at 10:00am on Sunday mornings.
We do have Sunday School for children ages 5-12 and nursery is provided for those 4 and under.
We believe that some traditions are good, but try to refrain from a weekly practice of them.
What you will find here, is that we have a structured service (which we are willing to change each week as the Lord leads).
Our dress is casual, and our approach is Biblical (see Statement of faith at bottom of this page).
On Sunday nights, we have a time of Praise and Worship and also a Wednesday Night Bible Study, Both at 7 pm.
We invite you to come worship at the barn with us and let "Jesus" make you a "stable" person.

Pastor Thomas Gill, has served in many different churches and ministries. He has appeared on The 700 club as well as other national and local TV programs.
Pastor Tom has been on and hosted numerous radio programs and also serves on the Board with The On-line Bible College.

( Dear friends, At 1:24pm on Saturday 18th November, 2006 David went home to be with the Lord. This came as a great shock to many of us. We loved David and many around the world were praying in full faith for his recovery. The family were with him, singing with him on several occasions over the past week. The presence of the Lord was very beautiful. He regained consciousness for a short period just before his passing and each one of the family spoke special words to him and he was able to respond to each one. We would appreciate your continual prayers for the family at this time. We are gathering forces to continue the vision of OBC worldwide - The Online Bible College.

The Gathering An Open Fellowship Of Christian Believers
These are the "tenets of faith" as we see them - non-negotiable elements of a Biblical worldview.
God
We believe that there is but One God, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, Who is the Creator, and Sustainer of all things visible, and invisible, revealed in Three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His virgin birth, that He died, was buried and on the third day rose back to life, that He ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.We believe that He is the eternal Son of God, for whom and by whom all things were created.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit (as the third Person of the triune God) proceeded from the Father and the Son, and is of one substance, majesty and glory with the Father and the Son.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as the sole revelation of the mind and will of God, and we accept them in their original form as the divine Word of God.
Justification by Faith
We believe that it is impossible to attain salvation through self-effort, but that through believing in the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and in acting out that faith through repentence of sin, receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we receive the remission of all our sins, reconciliation with God and the gift of eternal life. We believe in the security of the believer as he/she abides in Christ.
Baptism in Water
We believe in fulfilling the command of Jesus to baptize believers into the Name of the Father and of the Son (Jesus Christ)and of the Holy Spirit and that this baptism is symbolic of our death, burial and resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ in His redemptive work on the Cross.
Sanctification
We believe it is the glorious privilege of every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified by the operation of the Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ and the Word of God.
The Church
We believe in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, made up of all who have believed on the Lord Jesus and received the salvation of the Cross, and that this Church will come to the full expression of unity that can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the prayer of Jesus Christ in John 17.
The Lord's Supper
We believe, in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus, that we should celebrate this ordinance in remembrance of the atoning work of Christ and as an act of fellowship together.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, returning as He ascended, with power and majesty to rule on the earth,as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and to judge the dead and the living. Those not found in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting separation from God, described in the Scriptures as the Second Death. Those found in the Book of Life will enter into the glorious presence of God.
The Devil
We believe in the person of the Devil, who by his influence and power initiated the downfall of man and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and to hinder the further spread of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ. The devil?s ultimate end is to be cast into hell where he will be tortured forever, and ever along with those who have rejected the truth and love of God.

GOD LEAVES YOU ON EARTH TO KNOW HIM
